About Me

Hello! - I'm Luke Sill.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Penn State, with minors in Cybersecurity and Mathematics, and am set to graduate in May 2026. Upon graduation, I will begin working full-time at one of the industry leaders of the Pharmaceutical industry, Bristol Myers Squibb, as an Associate in the Business Information and Technology department.

My Story

I chose computer science because I’ve always been interested in solving problems that require both creativity and precision. When I was first given the chance to choose an elective in high school, I gravitated toward computer science and haven’t looked back since. As I progressed through coursework in systems programming, algorithms, databases, and technical communication, I developed a deeper appreciation for how many industries rely on well-designed software and clear, purposeful documentation.

During my internship at Bristol Myers Squibb, I had the opportunity to apply these skills in a professional environment by contributing to the backend development of a Resource Allocation Tool. This experience not only strengthened my technical abilities but also showed me the importance of communication, collaboration, and building software that aligns with real business needs.

I enjoy roles that challenge me to think through systems end-to-end: how data flows, how decisions are made, and how users interact with the tools we create. My goal is to continue growing as an engineer who can bridge the gap between technical work and the people it serves. Working in the pharmaceutical industry, where technology directly supports the health of countless individuals, connects these aspirations in a meaningful way.
